Q1) Do we have to carry food and medical supplies to the COVID hospital if you are admitted?

Food, clothes, medicines is provided by the hospital 

Q2) What is the cost of testing?

Price is now fixed at 4,500/- 

Q3) Can we go directly and get tested if we feel the need to do so? 

Yes, you can go to a private lab and get tested anytime. However, government labs will only test symptomatic patients.

Q4) What can you do if your landlords mistreat you or ask you to vacate after you have had COVID19?

They can be penalised under the Disaster Management Act.

Q1) How are the positive COVID19 cases reported on the Aarogya Setu App?

  • When someone is tested COVID-19 positive, the testing lab shares this information with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) - the nodal government agency for COVID-19 testing. ICMR shares the list of COVID19 positive persons with the Aarogya Setu server. If the person tested COVID-19 positive has the Aarogya Setu app installed, the server then updates the app status and changes the colour to red in the Aarogya Setu app of that person and runs contact tracing for this person to identify the people he/she has come in contact with. 

  • The positive person can also self-report and update it by themselves on the app.
